طرح شناخت مناطق اکولوژیک کشور - پوشش گیاهی منطقه آبدوغی (محدوده نقشه چهارگوش آبدوغی با ‭14-N140 )‬

Vegetation type of Abdoghi, a district in Khorasan and Yazd provinces, is mapped and documented as a result of a comprehensive national project titled "Recognition of Iranian ecological zones". Abdoghi area is 1562000 hectare, located on 55, 30, 57 E and 32, 33 N. The most populated areas of the districts are Abdoghi, Rahimabad, Aliabad and Khairabad. On the basis of physiognomy and floristic status of the vegetation, rangelands and Forests of the district are segmented into range and forest vegetation types. Results of the study show that the area of Abdoghis rangelands and forests is 1403705 hectares equal to 89.87% of the districts total area. Rangelands and Forests of the district are classified as 22 range and forest vegetation types. Having one dominant species in common, vegetation types were put in so called "plant group" to ease realization of the situation as follows: - Hammada salicornica has 5 vegetation types covering 59.03% of the total vegetation types. - Artemisia sieberi has 9 vegetation types covering 31.51% of the total vegetation types. - Seidlitzia rosmarinus has 4 vegetation types covering 2.68% of the total vegetation types. Nearly 3021 hectares equal to 0.19% of total area is allocated to crops of irrigated and also orchards. About 137041 hectares equal to 8.77% of total area is allocated to bare lands and About 16732 hectares equal to 1.07% of total area is allocated to rock and stony lands.
