Abstract:

Genetic potential and variation of 30 genotype Haloxylon sp. from several arid zone of Iran have been evaluated in 1998-2003. Experiment were done in Hossein-Abad station in Qom area. Concidering Randomized complete Block Design with three replication. Measered traits of each genotype in five yeares were as following: plant height, number of longer and smaller canopy cover and etc. variance analysis and compound analysis were done. Heritability of traits were assigned annually and for important traits total mean yeares were consider, that were low or middle. In first year correlation coefficient of each trait was significant in %1 level, excluding vigority. Correlation Coefficient of plant height in 5th year with plant height and diameter of stem in years before was possitive and significant (p 0.05). Regression analysis show relation between plant height of 5th year and number of branch in first deviding in first year. Principle component analysis determined. Twenty one factors that first seven of them were eginvalue more than one so entering in factor analysis. Factors: diameter of canopy cover , vigority , damage of pests and diseases , recognized by factor analysis. Cluster analysis devided genotypes to six groups: first group was one of Haloxylon persicum genotype from Yazd. Second group contained three Ha. aphyllum genotype from yazd. Other groups were some genotypes from Sistan, Semnan- Sistan, Sistan-Kerman. Totally there were variation between genotypes about all traits. According to results genotypes No, 2, 21, 10, 17, 25 be introduced as Supperior genotypes, Which shoud be Consider for second part of experiment to be studied in next generations. Keyword: Haloxylon.
