Abstract:

In order to study the adaptability and yield stability of V.Narbonences promising lines at warm areas this study was performed with 5 V.Narbonences genotypes in RCBD for three growing season (2001-2002 to 2003-2004) in 3 warm dray land areas at Kohgiliyeh va boyerahmad province namely Basht, Dehdasht and lishter. Each line was planted in 8 rows with spacing from each other 25cm and row length 4 meters via labor. In each location on the vital characters such as wet forage, biomass, seed yield, days to maturity, days to flowering and plant height simple ANOVA and combined analysis of variance for three years and combined analysis for three location and three years for the lines were implemented. For detecting significant of error variances were applied from Bartelet test and Hartley Fmax tests. Result showed that error variance for all of experiments was not significant at 5and 1% probability levels. For the study of stability and adaptability yield of lines were used from Lin and Binns method(intra location variance), Regression indexes, Deviation from regression, Coefficient of location variation, Determination index(R2), and Non-parametric methods such as Rank and Standard deviation of rank(SDR). Result for combined analysis of years for each location showed that year effect for lishter region for the wet forage and biomass were significant at 1% probability level and for seed yield significant at 5% level. For the Basht area year effect for seed yield significant at 5% level and for two other characters were not significant. And finally for the dehdasht area year effect for biomass and wet forage were significant at 1% level and for seed yield not significant. But line effect for the Lishter area were not significant, for Basht area line effect for seed and biomass were significant at 1% level and wet forage was significant at 5% level. Lines 4 and 5 with 13.814 and 13.112 T/ha forage yield had the highest yield. Results of combined analysis of 3years and 3 locations showed that line effect for wet forage and biomass were not significant and for the seed yield was significant at 5% probability levels. Line effect and line* year effect were significant at 1% probability. Line * year effect only was significant for the seed yield at 5% probability level. Line * location for the forage, biomass and seed yield at 1% robability level were significant. With regarding of forage, biomass and seed yield and other agronomic characteristics lines No. 4, 5 the highest yield and good stability parameters recognized as stable and adaptable lines among rest of genotypes. Finally we can recommend these lines for the warm areas.
