Abstract:

Potato (Solanum Tuberosum L .) Is one of the most important agricultural products of Hamedan province that involves about 20000 ha of this province agricultural area. Potatoes nutrient requirements is high. In addition, Soil phosphorus level has increased because of high phosphorus fertilizer usage in soils especially in potato cultivation and as a result, micronutrient uptake reduces in plants. In order to evaluating zinc efficiency and effects of that on potato yield and quality, a randomized complete block design was carried out with 9 treatments, tree replications and tree locations (with differing in soil phosphorus) in Hamedan province. Zinc treatments were soil application of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and120 kg of zinc sulphate per hectar and foliar application of 5 ppt zinc sulphate at one week before flowering and one week after that. In this project we determined the tuber and shoot yield and zinc uptake in tubers and shoot of plant. The results showed that the treatments significantly affected the tuber yield of potato and treatments T3 and T8 with 40 ton yield per ha were better than T1 and T9 that had the least tuber yield (34 ton per ha). The zinc treatments didn't increased shoot yield and tuber zinc uptake but shoot zinc uptake increased significantly by zinc treatment and the T9 treatment was better than the others. The treatments significantly affected tuber and shoot zinc concentration and T1 was lower than the others. The effect of zinc treatments on other determined factors were not significant. The location with different phosphorus affected significantly tuber and shoot yield of potato. The location with low soil phosphorus that fertilized and the high soil phosphorus location significantly increased tuber and shoot yield. Zinc uptake efficiency was lower than 5 percents in zinc treatments and effect of different locations on this factor was not significant.
