Abstract:

Usage of medical plants has been expereinced a sharp develoption in recent years . Eucalyptus is one of these medical plants that posses many practical usage in medical and veterinary fields. In order to detect the in vitro and in vivo antimicrobial effects of Eucalyptus against E.coli and St.aureus in broilers, four species of Eucalyptus (E.salmonopholia* ,E.maculta* ,E.striklandi* ,E.kingsmilli* ), Eshershia coli serotype o1 and Staphylococus aureus obtained. Through microbiological procedures(In vitro) of Agar Disc diffusion and Tube dilution it was shown that among these four species the essencial oil of Eucalyptus salmonopholia has the highest antimicrobial effect (very good ++++ against two examined bacteries and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration of dilution of 1.8 against E.coli and 1.16 against St.aureus ). Sixteen treatments of broilers ( in two repetation) as preventive, medical, positive control, negative control and control were examined in a Compeletly Randomized Design (In vivo).Powder of Eucalyptus salmonopholia leaves was used at levels of zero, 0,5 ,1 and 2 percent. Experimental contamination of broilers performed at 21 days of rearing (oral rout and amount of 0,5 cc of 0,5 Mcfarland solution of two bacteries). Data of daily registration , weekly weighing, clinical symptoms, atoupsy finding and Lab. results were collected. Calculation of averages, variation analysis and average comparison (Multiple range Duncan) performed through SAS statistical software. Significant differences detected (confidence Interal of 95%) and analysed. Obtained resultes were shown that Eucalyptus consumption Lead to food intake decrease of preventive and medical treatments of Colibacillosis and a fall in uniformity percentage of preventive and medical treatments of Colibacillosis as well. Mortality rate of control positive and medical treatments of 0.5 and 1 percent of Eucalyptus (colibacillosis) had significant difference too With lack of sensivity of broilers to used St.aureus we failed to create experimental Staphilococosis in relared teartments. Key words: Eucalyptus, Essencial oil, Microbe, Eshershia coli, Staphylococus aureus, Broiler.
