Fun A t Classroom : Insight From Management Students abstract
Purpose - This paper aims to give readers some ideas about how to create an exhilarating and motivating management classroom. Such an environment will lead to more engagement of students in teaching and learning process in classroom to a student oriented classroom instead of teacher-oriented classroom and finally increased productivity in workplace. Design / methodology / approach – the paper utilizes interviews, participant observation and document collection. Findings - The findings suggest that using hum our and fun in classroom cause the students to be present at most of sessions more ingagement in activities, less impatience and fatigue, more participation, better learning, effective communications and at last improved productivity. Research limitation/ implications – It would be useful to replicate this exploratory research in different workplace sectors and classes and environments. Originality/ value – This study makes a distinctive contribution to the fun at work literature by providing rich empirical data, and using a unique methodology in which data was gathered continuously and implemented in classroom, and contemporary results were observed.
