Abstract:

In order to investigate of forage yield and stability in 6 forage sorghum promising lines (MFS1 ، MFS2, MFS5 وMFS7, ، KFS8, MFS9) and two cultivars(Speed Feed and Pegah) an experiment was carrid out on randomized complete block desing with three replications at five loctions (Mashhad, Esfahan, Birjand, Nayshabor and Gorgan) during two growing season years (2014-2015). Combined ANOVA performed following Bartelet test (for testing the uniformity of error variances) for dry matter forage yield and components ( stem diameter, height, tiller no.) by assumption random effects for year and locations and fixed effects for genotypes. Due to the results of combine ANOVA, the effects of genotypes, environment and genotypes × environment interaction on dry matter yield were significant. For ranking the stable genotypes, stability analysis on dry matter forage yield carried out using different statistical approaches) AMMI stability analysis as multivariate stability analysis and environmental coefficient of variance (CVi) ,environmental variance (S2i), and Wricke,s ecovalance(W2i) as univariat stability analysis). According to environmental coefficient of variance (CVi) , environmental variance (S2i), and Wricke,s ecovalance(W2i) lines number 1, 7 and 8 have more yield stability and the least value of these parameters in all of five locations. The result’s of AMMI analysis for dry mater forage yield indicated that the Genotype main effects, environment, and GE interactions as well as two first interaction principal components (IPCA1-2) were significant. The genotypes 7 and 8 with higher mean yield than total mean were to be most stable genotypes. AMMI analysis showed that the genotypes 1,7 and 8were highly adapted to Mashhad, and genotypes 7,8 and Speed Feed cultivar were adapted to Gogan, genotypes 7,8 and Speed Feed cultivar were adapted to Gogan, Gogan, genotypes 8 were adapted to Neyshabur,, genotypes 7,8 and 5 were adapted to Birjand, genotypes 4,8 and Speed Feed cultivar were adapted to Esfahan environments during this study.Key words: Interaction effects, Genotype Environment, Stability analysis
