Study and Analysis of banding patterns of photonic crystal CdS nanoparticle in a glass matrix abstract

Using the Maxwell-Garnett theory and FDTD simulations of 1D, 2D, we present the structural changes of bands that can be observed for a glass doped CdS nanoparticles. The study was conducted basisof the variation of size, time period, the spatial distribution of nano-objects and changing the permittivity of the glass. The optical properties of the new material obtained can be adjusted depending on all these parameters. Assumed spherical nanoparticles are arranged periodically in the host matrix in a hexagonal structure. A Bragg mirror and a microcavity are two examples that illustrate the potential applications of photonic crystal components based on semiconductor nanoparticles in a glass.
