Abstract:
Hydroxyapatite is one of the most indispensable synthesized materials in bone tissue engineering applications because it makes up more than half of the bone tissue that is known as bone mineral. Herein, hydroxyapatite (HA) needle-shaped nanoparticles are synthesized with an average ۳۵ nm diameter in ۲۳۰ nm length size by Sol-Gel method at ۷۰°C and pH= ۱۱. Ammonium hydrogen phosphate and calcium nitrate are used in the synthesis process as calcium and phosphorus precursors, respectively, and Ammonia is utilized for pH determination. This structure can improve compressive strength and has more similarity to natural bone tissue. The synthesized hydroxyapatite is characterized by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Analysis (EDX).
