Utilization of Ferrocene as Electron Transfer Mediator and Its Application in Sensors and Biosensors abstract

Electron mediators have ability to facilitate the electron transfer produced from solution to the electrode by means of oxidation and reduction reactions. In this experiment, ferrocene was immobilized at the glassy carbon electrode surface and used as electron mediator, and according to the results of the amount of oxidation and reduction current, ferrocene showed an acceptable response and high sensitivity, which considers its use in the construction of biosensors.
