Sustainable Development - Islamic Perspectives

This article looks at sustainable development from an Islamic perspective. Its theoretical arguments deals with the concept of sustainable development and highlights its different aspects, envistigate the concept of sustainable development in Islam.Based on islamic perspectives, humanity are representatives of god on the planet Earth, mankind is a mere manager and inherent of the earth not an owner, a beneficiary and not a disposer, therefore, the Islamic lifestyle means living in peace and harmony with all creatures. An active promotion of the harmonization of individual, social, and environmental and economic interests would ensure sustainable development. The paper concludes that in a truly Islamic society, sustainable development is a logical outcome of following islamic simple rules. It taregeted to highlights the fact that sustainable development from Islamic viewpoint could be emerging as a new Islamic interactive and integrated shift toward resolving current worlds problems.In the concluding remark, intend to shed some light on how Islamic rules can contribute to explain and provide insights to address global challenges.
