A simple and cost-effective semi-quantitative UV-C sensor based on ZnO nanoparticles abstract

Important applications of UV sensors were visible spectrum in various industries. These sensors should be sensitive to UV light and blind to visible spectrum. Semiconductor materials such as ZnO are commonly used in these sensors with additives improving the sensitivity toward UV light. In this paper, ZnO /Cu􀬶O nanoparticles PN junction to sense near (C) UV light were used. The developed sensor is a cheap, simple and potentially promising material as a UV sensor insensitive to visible light.
