Abstract:

In this study the algorithms of conventional smooth, blocky and optimal inversion have been tested and verified successfully using apparent resistivity and induced polarization data measured on eight profiles at Irankuh Pb-Zn deposit near Isfahan in Iran, using dipole- dipole array. For discrimination between different types and textures of mineralization zones, one of the methods capable of deriving such information is using spectral induced polarization (SIP) data. Therefore, using Cole-Cole impedance model for the subsurface it is possible to calculate the apparent Cole- Cole parameters by curve matching technique in a least-squares sense. It is showed that the SIP measurements integrated with inversion results will give additional valuable textural and structural information which can be of great help in determining and delineating ore blocks for a systematic exploration program
