Abstract:

Background and Objective: Epidemics have always been an essential part of human history. Psychological reactions during the Covid-۱۹ epidemic, such as abnormal behaviors, emotional distress, anger, and depression, can affect the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and communities. The aim of this study was to investigate the psychological and neurological effects of the outbreak of Covid-۱۹ pandemic.search method: The data in this review article were obtained by searching Google scholar and PubMed databases with the keywords Covid ۱۹ and psychiatric disorders. Reputable ۲۰۱۹ articles on the psychological consequences of pandemics. ۴۳ articles were selected and finally ۲۵ articles were reviewed. Findings: Some surveys of medical staff and health care providers report a prevalence of more than ۵۰% and symptoms of stress of more than ۷۰%. This group, as the most important part of dealing with Covid-۱۹ disease, needs to allocate health resources, create appropriate treatment methods and pay special attention to mental health problems. Psychological effects of the epidemic in pregnant women play an important role in neonatal mortality, neurodevelopmental disorders and disorders, preterm delivery and low birth weight, and in children and adolescents neuroanatomical and neurofunctional effects reduce brain growth, reduce hippocampal volume and prevent proliferation It becomes nerve neurons. Quarantine, isolation, depression and anxiety caused by epidemics play an important role in increasing drug and alcohol use, domestic violence and the overuse of the Internet and social media.Conclusion: COVID-۱۹ may increase the risk of suicide, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and academic failure due to its aggressive and neurotropic capabilities. Therefore, psychological health counseling and safe services for the disadvantaged, such as the elderly or the mentally ill, should be established by establishing mental health teams and clear communication about the prevalence of Covid-۱۹. In case of exacerbation of problems, support measures should be taken for the vulnerable population
