Synchronous Invasive Lobular Carcinoma of Breast With Hodgkin Lymphoma: A Case Report

Background: Multiple Primary Malignant Neoplasms (MPMN) is a wellknownentity. Most of these tumors are metachronous. The treatment of Hodgkinlymphoma increases the risk of developing second malignancies including breastcancer. However, the synchronous occurrence of breast cancer and Hodgkinlymphoma is rare.Case presentation: We presented a case of a 31-year-old woman withsimultaneous diagnosis of lobular carcinoma of the breast and Hodgkinlymphoma. The patient underwent modified radical mastectomy followed byhormone therapy as adjuvant treatment of breast cancer and simultaneouschemotherapy for Hodgkin lymphoma.Conclusions: To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report ofcoexistence of breast cancer and Hodgkin lymphoma. Synchronous cancerspresent therapeutic challenges to the clinicians, and the treatment planning shouldbe discussed in a multidisciplinary team.
