Abstract:
Meeting the standards of medical ethics is one ofthe essential requirements of medical practice as ithas a tremendous effect on the patients' lives inphysical and psychological aspects.۱ However,depending on the nature of the disease, sometimesissues of medical ethics become very critical.Breast cancer is the most common cancer amongwomen throughout the world and is one of the mostimportant causes of death.۲ The high prevalence ofthe disease, involvement of women, and theremarkable importance of the organ for a femalepatient from,۳ along with the medical and financialaspects of treatment, potential complications, andtheir influence on the individual, familial, and sociallife of patients have made this disease a unique andcritical one, particularly in the field of professionalismand medical ethics. Medical literature in thisfield recognizes and emphasizes some aspects of thedisease۴ including reaction of the patients todiagnosis, confidentiality and privacy, interactionswith medical team, coping with the disease,treatment costs and conflict of interest, etc.
