Abstract:
This paper focuses on teachers and their communication and information technology (ICT) -competencies. It isprimarily based on a research project where "digital competent teachers" in upper secondary schools areinterviewed and asked to what extent their ICT-education has been useful. The paper discusses teachers’thoughts and reflections concerning pedagogical use of ICT, the intentions in the new national educationalreform and what kind of digital competence that is needed to stay the course described. Consequently, thispaper focuses on how teachers perceive this new obligatory, digital competence, and what kind of pedagogicalstrategies they use when they attempt to integrate ICT in their subjects. And as a result of this; to what extenthas their ICT-education been useful?
