The relationship between Human capital characteristics and organizational performance in Iran‟s public and private Banks

The present research is done in order to examine the relation between the human capital characteristicsand the organizational performance in Iranian banks. The concept and the dominant viewpoint on thehuman capital originate from this point that there is no substitute for knowledge, learning, innovation,creativity, ability and etc. So these contexts should be established based on competitive logic and thecontent of organization environment and should be seriously pursued by the organizations. Choosing thebanks is due to their important role in execution of monetary policies, directing the economic activitiesand strengthening the substructures of the society‟s economic expansion .Such a way that HC wasexamined regarding to the six characteristics (leadership, Knowledge management, Strategic DecisionMaking, Organizational Structure and Management, reorganize the systems and Measuring progress) andOP regarding to financial performance indicators (Relative profitability, Return on investment, Total salesgrowth) and market performance indicators (Market Share, Profit ratio, Customer satisfaction). Thestatistical sample consisted of ۲۰ public and private banks that the designed questionnaire distributed inthe entire statistical universe. The research hypotheses were examined by the Pearson correlation. As theresult it was found that human capital has a direct relation with organization performance.
