Abstract:

In this research, energy, exergy, and economic study on thermochemical hydrogen production for three cases of ۲.۵, ۵, and ۱۰ tons per day hydrogen production are presented, for the thermodynamic part aspen plus software is used. The results are compared with previous publications, a thermodynamic model is also provided for properties of CuCl, CuCl۲, Cu۲OCl۲ and verified, results indicate that a price of Hydrogen is in between ۲.۵-۵ $/kg based on variables involved to the plant size, location, and taxes, to obtain the cost we included variables in a wide range from the direct cost of the equipment to the cost of R&D and taxes.
