Abstract:
Introduction & Objective: The aim of this study was to design a strategic plan of the Bowling, Billiard & Boules Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The research method was descriptive-analytical which was performed based on the process of strategic studies with SWOT approach.Research Method: The statistical population of the research consisted of the president , board of directors members of the federation , the heads of the provincial sports boards and the elites of Bowling , Billiard & Boules , a total of ۵۳ people. Due to the limitations of the members of the research population, the sample was considered equal to the population and as a whole numbers. The method of data collection was research method that was done using an open questionnaire and interviews with members of the research population to the extent of theoretical saturation to determine the mission statement, vision, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.Findings: The results of the research showed that the Bowling, Billiard & Boules Federation has ۸ strengths, ۴ weaknesses, ۶ opportunities and ۷ threats ahead of its way. Also, using the evaluation table of internal and external factors, the strategic position of the federation in a competitive situation was identified. Then, using SWOT matrix analysis, four SO strategies, five WO strategies, two ST strategies and one WT strategy, a total of ۱۲ strategies were identified. The identified strategies were prioritized with the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) and the titles of the operational plans corresponding to each of the strategies were determined.
