Abstract:
In this research, the nanofluid is heated up to ۶۰۰ K to warm the seawater in the heat exchanger. . The water is considered the Rankine cycle's working fluid with a mass flow rate of ۱۰ kg/s. In this research, oil-Al۲O۳ is used as a nanofluid and working fluid heated at a trough collector with a mass flow rate of ۱۳.۸۹ kg/s in each pipe. The heated nanofluid is used to warm up the water before the boiler. The water is passed away from these tubes and became warmer to reduce the fuel consumption in the boiler. The results show the ۲۱۰ kJ energy saving by using this system as a source of heating. Also, the exergy analysis shows that there is a ۲۲۰۰۲ kJ exergy destruction in the system.
