Abstract:

The successive defeats of the Arabs, and especially the great Arabuprising in June ۱۹۶۷, created a sense of pain, helplessness anddisappointment in Khalil Hawi, the contemporary Lebanese poet. Hewas deeply saddened by the turmoil of his homeland and reflected it inhis poems. This article examines some of the themes of the resistanceliterature in some of Khalil's poems and tries to answer these questions:What was the effect of the unrest in the occupied territories in Khalil'spoems and which of the themes of resistance was reflected in hispoems? The result was that although Khalil Hawi was not recognizedas a poet of resistance nevertheless, he has not been able to empty hispoetry of the reflection of patriotism, political turmoil, turmoil andanxiety caused by the war and what had hurt his compatriots so much.
