Abstract:
Masoudieh Mansion in Tehran is a historical building from Qajar dynasty located near Baharestan Square of Tehran. The mansion has a significant historical identity owing to its inherent historical and cultural values. Masoudieh Mansion has been seriously damaged and distressed over the past few years due to unprincipled assignments in different periods. To date, the plans designed in this area have failed to renovate this historical building. Given the significant importance of the survival of Masoudieh Mansion as a historical identity, the present study aimed to provide a model for the renovation of Masoudieh Mansion according to its historical context in architectural design based on international guidelines and charters in the field of renovation of historical buildings in order to protect and rehabilitate this valuable building while preserving its inherent historical values.
