Mixed H_2/H_∞ Control of P. M. Synchronous Motor on Local and Networked Control System abstract

This paper proposes a new networked control structure for speed control of P. M. synchronous motor. System structure consists of local control and networked control. The stability conditions are developed in terms of Bilinear Matrix Inequality (BMI). To model the network, maximum and minimum delays and maximum number of consecutive packet loss are required. The controller objective consists of designing H_∞ suboptimal controller subject to minimizing index performance. The proposed integral state feedback controller rejects zero or near zero time rate disturbance. An experimental setup is designed and built to control a P. M. synchronous motor. The experimental results show the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method
