Abstract:
Two-photon polymerization (۲PP) has emerged as a unique method to produce ۳D polymeric structures with sub-micro resolution. This technique introduced a major breakthrough for manufacturing some products which is really impossible using other methods of additive manufacturing (AM) approaches such as fused deposition modeling (FDM), Stereolithography (SLM) or selective laser melting (SLA). We report on ۳D micro-nano structuring based on ۲PP. In this work, special two-photon initiators (۲PIs) with high two-photon cross section were first synthesized. Then their two-photon absorption (۲PA) was determined using normal Z-scan technique and a new proposed technique using femtosecond laser pulses and white light supercontinuum. ۳D polymeric micro-nano structures were produced based on ۲PP using a ۳D translation stage equipped with a pair of galvo scanner mirrors. Femtosecond laser beam containing ۱۵۰ fs femtosecond pulses were focused using a high numerical aperture objective. Different pulse energy and different scanning speed were examined to find out the optimal parameters.
