Review and identify of strategies of confronting with Groundwater contamination using nanotechnology abstract
Regarding water scarcity and dry climate in Iran, necessity of preserving the water
resources from pollution has a great importance. So existence of a systematic approach
and applying this approach for identifying the pollution resources and their extent looks
necessary. Determining the accurate water pollution resources is a multi-stage process
that begins from a small scale and ends in a large scale and finally finishes with
choosing some places as the target place for sampling in order to achieve the type and
accurate quantity of pollution. In this plan, contaminated regions were identifiedwith
using the GIS. Regarding that most of information related to discovering the pollution
resources is spatial data, GIS can be often used in organizing and analyzing data. While
the GIS technology can be used in organizing the data, it has the ability to provide and
combine the different information layers at the format of different models with more
accuracy and more quickly. Various methods of water resource purification using the
Nano-technology are studied in following. Eventually some applicable proposals are
provided in order to preserve the groundwater resources from pollution, so Semnan
regional Water Company can choose one of these solutions due to its facilities.
