Improve mathematical modeling of Glutamic acid rate production by levenspiel generalized equation abstract

One of the prerequisites for the successful production of L-glutamic acid with Corynebacterium glutamicum is the realization of adequate growth under biotin limiting conditions. The intracellular biotin content, i.e. the specific biotin concentration is shown to be the limiting factor for growth in this fermentation process. Modeling of growth is then examined with Monod kinetics model and improved this model by generalized equation of Levenspiel. The result of two mathematical modeling shows that Monod model with generalized equation of Levenspiel has good agreement with experimental data.
