The investigation of the effect of monthly interruptions on the performance of 2nd processing line of the Gohar-Zamin Iron Ore Company (Sirjan) abstract

This paper investigates the performance of Line 2 of Sirjan Gohar-Zamin Iron Ore Processing Plant. Data collecting was performed by daily monitoring during a time period from 2017 to 2020. The collected information includes various types of interruptions such as mechanical, planned, not required, lack of food, and electricity and water problems as well as the down time of each these interruptions. The analyses of this information were done by Excel program by drawing bar charts on a monthly basis in this year. After the examination of this information, it was indicated that initial months of year experienced a significant amount of interruptions which it can be related to production problems. Furthermore, it was shown that planned interruptions and water problems are most common types of problems which took place during these years. Finally, some suggestion was provided to minimize these problems such as more water recovery in thickeners, determining a regular maintenance schedule for important equipment and items and declining downtimes with precise and calculated planning.
