Abstract:

In this paper, free vibration of composite plates and cylindrical shells are investigated. The method of analysis is the spline-constrained finite strip method which is based on the full energy methods. This method is based on the energies including potential, kinetic and external work integrations. Using Layerwise spline functions for longitudinal shape functions in the finite strip method makes it possible to provide a detailed examination, with less degrees of freedom for convergence and easier application of boundary conditions, and allows the strips to be connected more easily and conveniently.
