Abstract:
objective: Air pollution exposure can be expressed for an individual, for certain groups. In light of the fact that oil and gas installations of Asalouyeh have made it one of the world's most polluted regions, the aim of this study is to evaluate possible changes in the embryo development and some anthropological parameters. Method: ۳۰ adult female rats were divided into three groups: control, negative control (exposed to dust in the clean area free from oil contaminants) and the treatment group (exposed to dust in the polluted area of Asalouyeh with oil hydrocarbons) after co-cycling. Before grouping, all animals were co-cycled. After ۲۵ days of treatment, changes in parameter of antopological development of embryo were measured. the amount of the heavy metals lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury in animals’ serum were measured using atomic absorption. An topological assessment also showed some changed compared to the negative control group and the control group. Results: the amount of heavy metals lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury showed a significant increase in the serum of animals in the treatment group compared to the negative control group and the control group. Conclusion: dust of polluted air of Asalouyeh has relative toxicity effects on development of embryo.
