Abstract:

ABSTRACT Polyethylene Terephthalates (PETs) are a waste material that is harmful to the environment. As a result, the scientific researchers in the civil engineering field started utilizing them in concrete construction as a worldwide and long-term industry. Moreover, the waste glass resulting from industry can affect the surroundings by their destructive effects. Therefore, it would be helpful to use them in concrete construction. This paper analyses the combined waste PET and glass usage in concrete by concentrating on the resulted weight. Different ۱, ۳ and ۵% of PET wastes were added to concrete containing ۵, ۱۰ and ۲۰% contents of glass powder. The results show that adding ۵%of GP to concrete specimens containing different PET content values decreased, and adding ۱۰% of GP to various PET values increased the weight of the concrete specimens.
