Abstract:
This article examines the barriers to sustainable urban development with an emphasis on human resource management. In this article, descriptive-analytical method has been used. This article describes and analyzes the issue after reviewing credible documents and sources in this field. The results of this study show that the challenges facing a sustainable city are: Irregular and irregular constructions and improper use of land uses, unfair and unprincipled distribution of municipal services, unprincipled location and increase of inadequacies in worn-out structures, existence of centralized government, improper use of energy consumption, increased greenhouse gases, improper and unprincipled use of water, lack of desire for change in the people and officials, and lack of control of the heat island in the city. All these challenges and preventing cities from sustainable development have been done by human resources. In order to meet these challenges, efficient, knowledgeable and specialized human resource management in urban affairs is needed.
