Assessing the potential of brown lands to promote the resilience of sustainable cities Case study: (Mashhad Coca-Cola factory) abstract
The land is known as a scarce resource and one of the consequences of urban sprawl is the emergence of brown lands in cities. It can be used to promote urban resilience, which results in the stabilization of cities. First, in this article, the case study of the site of Mashhad Coca-Cola factory located in the Pazhuhesh Square is comprehensively and by examining the variables considered in this article, the relationship between brown lands and the high potential of lands for upgrading is examined. Quality, resilience (economic, infrastructure, physical, etc.) in the direction of sustainable development, can have, has been addressed. The results of the analysis of the collected data show that the existence of brown lands, in addition to causing dissatisfaction for the surrounding residents due to visual pollution, etc., has high potentials as well as attractions for investors who are interested in investing and planning. Lands can be used to promote urban resilience. At the end of this article, strategies and strategies for using this site for sustainable development are presented
