Investigation of the Use of FRP Fibers in Reinforcing Concrete Sections abstract
In many cases, reinforced concrete structures need to be repaired for reasons such as changing operating loads, user and performance changes, computational errors, performance drawbacks and failures, and failure to meet design requirements during execution. Fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) are one of the composites used in civil engineering to repair and reinforce structures. FRPs are durable, durable and lightweight materials and the relatively thin thickness of these sheets makes them more efficient and easier to use. In recent years, the application of reinforced concrete pillar reinforcement using FRP materials instead of steel sheets has greatly improved. The most common form of reinforcing concrete columns with FRP materials involves extruding the column using FRP sheets or strips. These sheets have fibers that can be positioned in different directions and used in the desired type of reinforcement. One of the most important reasons for the use of composites in the building industry is their high resistance to corrosion, strength, and the advantages that are of paramount importance compared to other alternative materials. The use of composite profiles and reinforces produced by paltrogen, resin injection and moisture storage have increased the service life and reduced construction and maintenance costs in coastal and offshore corrosive environments while also applying composites under conditions. Corrosive to saline waters and high seas.
