Effect of π-elongation of porphyrins as sensitizers in DSSCs on photovoltaic properties abstract
In this article the effect of π-conjugated systems on photovoltaic properties of dye sensitized solar cells have been investigated. The highly conjugated unites in porphyrins efficiently mediates electronic interaction between them to extend the π- conjugation in these systems and to cause both broadening and red shifts of both the soret and Q absorption bonds. This condition is a useful feature for efficient dye sensitized solar cell applications
