Evaluation of psychological characteristics in rhinoplasty applicants before surgery

Background and Aim: Rhinoplasty is the most complex and common cosmetic surgery of the whole face. People applying for rhinoplasty have more stress and other psychological disorders than other cosmetic surgeries. Due to the high statistics of rhinoplasty, the goal The present study was to evaluate the mental health of rhinoplasty applicants before surgery. Materials and Methods: The present research method was cross-sectional and the statistical population was all applicants for rhinoplasty referred to the beauty clinic in Abadan. The total number of clients was ۱۷۹ and all of them were included in the study using the available method. The SCL-۹۰R questionnaire and the demographic questionnaire. Results: The results of this test showed that there was a significant difference between men and women before surgery between age and mental health variables. Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that the mean of mental health disorders (anxiety, obsession, aggression and depression) before surgery is high.
