Abstract:
One of the important courses in the education system of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the social sciences courses, which include these courses from the third grade of elementary school to the twelfth grade. This article seeks to answer the question that according to the background of research related to these textbooks from elementary school to the end of secondary school to what extent and to what extent the relevant main and sub-categories have been addressed.The purpose of this applied research is to determine the level of attention to the categories and components related to social science textbooks in the mentioned periods and the type of content analysis. ۱۳۹۸ and before that until the changes of the new educational system in the academic year ۱۳۹۳, which started with the changes of seventh grade books and on an annual basis. Findings showed that in the main categories related to content analysis, education, family, women and gender had the highest and cases of social, communication and life skills and critical thinking related to culture and citizenship had the lowest frequencies.
