HPV vaccines efficacy abstract

Background: Papillomaviruses are accountable for various warts, different types of cancers, e.g. cervical and anal cancers and can lead to benign or malignant lesions. Mostly, those who are infected are unaware of the infection. Hopefully, vaccines are significantly reducing the negative impacts of the virus.Materiald And Methods: Bivalent, quadrivalent, and nine-valent vaccines have been developed to prevent benign and malignant HPV related-infections and many studies have been performed with focus on their efficacy, coverage, safety and side effects around the world.Results: These vaccines are well covered and available in developed countries and some developing countries. Besides general vaccination programs, there are exclusive programs to vaccinate pan-gender and homosexual people.Conclusion: However, more effort is needed to achieve an acceptable vaccination rate and coverage and provide easy-access vaccines in low and middle-income countries. Producing vaccines that target HPV types which not included in current vaccines, and therapeutic vaccines are the focus of future programs
