Before emerging Covid-19 and affecting people's lives worldwide, coronaviruses were a genus of the coronaviridae family; RNA viruses that can cause mild to severe respiratory infections and are also considered to be one of the causes of colds.Material And Methods: We reviewed databases, including PubMed and Scopus, to gather evidence for a link between diabetes and Covid-19.Results: Considering the global concern for the COVID-19 pandemic in the diabetes community, we aim to evaluate the risk of disease severity and mortality in association with diabetes in COVID-19 patients.Conclusion: Diabetes mellitus, one of the most common risk factors, is associated with disease severity, length of hospitalization, and mortality in COVID-19 infected patients
