Optimal and probable rearrangement a feeder of the electrical distribution network

The price of energy is progressively increasing, while a considerable portion of the electric energy is lost as heat loss in transmission lines and distribution. In power distribution networks, due to low voltage and thus higher current compared to transmission systems, the losses of its line are far greater. Imbalance in the power distribution network even at an average pressure level also leads to problems in the operation, which itself contributes to increased losses. The loss of electric energy is one of the very important factors whose mitigation can drive the network towards economical operation. One of the solutions to reducing the losses of distribution networks is rearranging these networks during the operation. This paper deals with rearrangement of a sample feeder of Bandar Abbas power distribution network considering load uncertainty through two-point estimation method and optimization by PSO algorithm.
