Abstract:

The microbial growth kinetic was determined in optimum mass transfer and hydrodynamic parameters (kLa=۰.۰۱۶ s-۱ and ε=۰.۱). ΔfHcell, ΔfScell, ΔfGcell of biomass formation were determined at -۴۲۰.۳۷ kJ/mol, -۱۵۰.۸۵ J/(K.mol) and -۳۷۵.۶۷ kJ/mol, respectively. In ۵۰ vol% (optimum gas mixture), ΔG۰, ΔS۰ and ΔH۰ were calculated at ۲۹.۲۷ kJ/mol, -۱۳۴ J/mol.K and -۱۱.۵۱ kJ/mol. The positive Gibbs energy change for the dissolution process is expected as a consequence of the low solubility of gases in water and of its temperature dependence.
