Effect of TGT Unit on CO and SO2 Emission of Bushehr Petrochemical Complex Sulfur Recovery Unit abstract

In this study, The effects of TGT unit in reducing CO and SO2 emissions at Bushehr Petrochemical Complex gas sweetening plant have been investigated. While the TGT unit was not in service, the results of laboratory analyzes showed high amounts of CO and SO2 emissions from the sulfur recovery unit (5400 ppm and 2400 ppm, respectively). However, after the TGT unit was put into service, according to the results of laboratory analyzes, CO and SO2 emissions were reported 100 ppm and 165 ppm, respectively, and within the permissible range of environmental pollutants (SO2 <490 ppm and CO <560 ppm). In both cases the incinerator temperature has been controlled at 660 degrees centigrade.According to the results, TGT has an incredible effect on reducing CO and SO2 emissions and Bushehr Petrochemical complex is the first company in the South Pars Economic Zone to achieve this success.
