Finite element vibration analysis of a real-scale concrete bridge with steel piles:A case study abstract

The main aim of the present research is to study vibration behavior of an integrated concrete bridge with Hshapedsteel piles. To this end, the authors have attempted to obtain natural frequencies and shape modes ofthe structure by using modal analysis. Therefore, a real-scale bridge with full details were modeled inCATIA software. Next, finite element simulation was performed in ANSYS-WORKBENCH software. Freefreemodal analysis was performed to check the accuracy of assembly of different parts of the model. Afterthat, the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the structure were investigated in two categories, including, installation of all H-shaped steel piles on the ground and installation of central H-shaped steel piles in water. The results indicated that in both cases, the vibration behavior is almost the same.
