Dynamic Response of Pyroelectric Piezothermoelastic Composite Plate abstract

The analysis of piezothermoelectric materials require the knowledge of piezoelectricity and thermalfields, which are inherently coupled within the material. The area where such materials may providesignificant advantages is in the development of piezothermoelastic composite structures with thecapability to sense thermally induced distortions and to actively compensate for adversethermomechanical conditions. Recent interest in piezothermoelasticity stems from the potential thatthe piezoelectric materials are used in the smart structural systems designed to operate in thermalenvironments. When the piezoelastic system induces temperature, the analysis may be carried outusing the coupled thermoelasticity theory. The importance of pyroelectric effect on the dynamicresponse of coupled piezothermoelastic composite plate is important. Various dynamic controlsystems could be used. One of them is the direct proportional feedback control algorithm in which aclosed control loop to couple the direct and converse piezothermoelastic effects as a distributedsystem. With considering the pyroelectric effect, the dynamic induced temperature responses areincreased.
