Identifying and ranking the causes of delays in different phases of oil industry projects in EPC contracts using TOPSIS method

Delay, any deviation from scheduled agreements is affected by internal and external factors of the system. In this article, we identify and study the causes and factors affecting the delay in performing engineering projects by the method (EPC) and also rank the causes and factors based on the levels of importance and finally provide a solution to reduce delays. Also, the impact of these factors on the three main objectives of the project, namely time, cost and quality of the project, has been evaluated using the survey method and their ranking based on AHP and Topsis methods. The results show that factors such as delay in receipt of the contractor's claims by the employer, weakness of the contractor financial strength, unrealistic (low) price at the time of the tender by the contractor, only with the aim of winning have the greatest impact on delays in various phases of EPC Are. The research method is applied and the method of obtaining the data is descriptive
