Secondary metabolites of medicinal plants have valuable applications in the pharmaceutical, agricultural, food,cosmetic and health industries. Due to the limited reserves of medicinal plants all over the world and the risk ofextinction of these plants due to over-harvesting, the use and extraction of secondary metabolites, as well as thechemical synthesis of secondary metabolites, is very complicated and expensive, so tissue culture of medicinalplants is considered a useful alternative. Presenting some new strategies for the production of secondary metabolites,methods such as: elicitors of biological compounds that help to start the production of secondary metabolites, aswell as plant hormones such as Jasmonate and Gibberellic acid and polysaccharides and Cell immobilization usingcalcium alginate is used. this article, useful solutions have been collected to improve the production of secondarymetabolites at the mass production level
