Abstract:
Original meiotic or mitotic chromosome counts are presented for ۱۷ species in ۱۲ families of angiosperms from Iran. Chromosome counts for Amberboa nana, n=۱۶ (Asteraceae) and Camelina rumelica subsp. transcapica, n=۱۳ (Brassicaceae) are repoted for the first time. Chromosome numbers for six species including: Rhagadiolus stellatus (n=۵), Campanula raponcoloides (n=۳۴), Campanula trachelium (n=۱۰), Helianthemum salicifolium (n=۱۰), Sorghum halepense (n=۲۰), Consolida orientalis (n=۸) are new reports for the flora of Iran. Also, the tetraploid level of n=۱۲ for Linaria simplex is reported here for the first time.
