Doctor Robidoux was a full professor in thedepartment of surgery at the University of Montrealand holder of the Scotiabank Chair in Breast CancerDiagnosis and Treatment from 2000 until recently.He died of cancer at the age of 72 on Saturday, July25, surrounded by loved ones. Doctor Robidoux had an exemplary surgicalcareer and was recognized worldwide for his vision,innovation and dedication in the field of clinicalresearch in breast cancer. The NSABP presented himwith the “Distinguished Lifetime AchievementAward” to underline his impeccable commitment tooncology research. He played a central role in the advances in breastcancer treatments over the past 40 years and treatedthousands of women in Quebec with his remarkableexpertise and integrity. Besides his outstandingachievements, he was greatly appreciated by hispatients, colleagues and research team because of hisdedication, great humanity and humility. He was an exceptional educator, teaching thenext generation of surgeons with enthusiasm andpatience. He leaves behind a legacy of excellentpatient care and a career in research, visionary andunparalleled. He was a cherished colleague who willnever be forgotten by those who had the good luck tohave know him.
