Bond Graph Modeling of a Piezoelectric Hydraulic Pump Based Friction Element abstract

The main scope of this research is to develop a complete dynamical model of a piezoelectric hydraulic pump (PHP) actuator employing bond graph approach. Many researches have been conducted to study the feasibility of replacing the PHP-based actuation systems for prevalent automotive frictional transmission elements for their prominences on simplicity, light weight, economic fuel consumption, and more efficient operation. Since the proposed mechanism composed of multi energy domain systems developing an accurate dynamical model for simulation study needs employing a modular based modeling approach such as bond graph. Furthermore, employing this approach thegoverning equations of motion can be easily derived in state space form which was appropriate for control design purpose.
