Stochastic 1-Center Line Location Problem in The Plane abstract
A center line location problem seeks to find a straight line in the plane such that the maximum weighted distances from the line to the existing demand points is minimized. This paper is the first study considering stochastic version of the 1-center line location problem in the plane using Euclidean norm in which weight of demand points is uncertain and derived from Uniform distribution. The objective is to maximize the probability that the maximum weighted distance from the line to the demand points does not exceed the predetermined threshold. Some applications, as well as mathematical programming formulations of the problem, are also discussed briefly. Finally, a conclusion is provided.
